Eisenhower Partnership helps bring the NAIOP Bus Tour to Eisenhower East
on May 4

Every second year, NAIOP brings ten buses loaded with commercial real estate brokers and other members of the real estate community inside the Beltway for a tour of major buildings.  This year, thanks to the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership and the National Science Foundation, the May 4 tour will begin and end at the NSF building at 2415 Eisenhower Avenue.  In the morning, over 50 exhibitors will promote their projects, products or services.  Trade show booths are still available; if you are interested, please contact Kathy D’Amato,  There are also opportunities to provide door prizes for the trade show, or for on-bus giveaways.  The Eisenhower Partnership is advertising in the tour book that will be given to each attendee, and we are also including an article on the Eisenhower Valley.  Several of our members are assisting in sponsoring the breakfast and trade show.  This is an event not to be missed – and a great chance for all Eisenhower Valley property owners to showcase their property or business.

Ways for you to be involved in this annual event:

  • Trade show booths are still available; if you are interested, please contact Kathy D’Amato,

Carlyle Design Review Board Considers Three Projects

This month, three projects are coming before the Carlyle Design Review Board for design refinements.

Carlyle Plaza 2 (south residential tower) is being reviewed as to its proposed rooftop amenity space and design alterations including reconfiguration of loading, height adjustment, modification of an overhang, and alteration of north-south balconies.  The project includes 366 residential units, in a striking building designed by Arquitectonica and developed by JM Zell Partners.

Stonebridge Carras’ proposed mixed use project on Hoffman Town Center blocks 4 and 5 (2410 and 2460 Mill Road) is undergoing its Concept II review prior to its Development Special Use Permit application scheduled for public hearing in November.  The project proposes 975,000 square feet of retail and residential development north and west of the movie theaters.

Paradigm Development Company is proposing a new development on Block 20, formerly the site of the American Trucking Associations building.  Two options are being evaluated: A) 436,000 sf of residential and 109,000 sf of hotel, or B) 365,000 sf residential and 107,000 sf office.  The current application is for review of massing and scale.
